This 5 week course will be an introduction to Hustle and West Coast Swing. We will work on the basic rhythms of each dance focusing on creating a solid foundation for future dancing. This course is great for beginners new to dance or new to the genre. Perfect for newcomers!

HUSTLE evolved out of the popular dance Salsa during the 1970’s during the disco era. It mirrors Salsa in its spins, speed and smoothness. It is a fusion between swing and Latin dances. Don’t let the name fool you- it is actually quite a versatile dance that you can use to a variety of music and you don’t need bell bottoms to do it successfully!

WEST COAST SWING is the official dance of California and is categorized by its slickness and really emphasizes connection with a partner. This dance developed out of another dance called Lindy hop and is adaptable to a range of modern music including R&B, blues and contemporary styles.

Dates: 4/16, 4/23, 4/30, 5/7, 5/14,

*Each class consists of 45 minutes of instruction followed by 15 minutes of practice. Students are welcome and encouraged to join 15 minutes prior to the start of their class and participate in the practice sessions as well.

1 full 5 week course (5 hours): $135.00

1 full 10 week course (10 hours): $270.00

2 full 10 week courses (20 hours): $500.00

3 full 10 week courses (30 hours): $690.00

4 full 10 week courses (40 hours): $840.00
